I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in Semantics in the Department of Linguistics at the University of British Columbia. I completed my Ph.D. in Linguistics at the University of Connecticut. I am from Serbia, where I received my BA in the English Language and Literature from the University of Novi Sad.

My primary research interests lie in the area of Syntax, in particular in the domain of Syntactic theory, Syntax of Slavic languages, and Syntax of the verbal domain. In addition, I am curious about the way Syntax and Semantics interact, especially with regards to Tense and Aspect properties in a language.

I am currently involved in the project 'Tense and Aspect Systems in Human Language: Evidence from Salish, Tsimshianic, Na-Dene and Austronesian' with Professor Lisa Matthewson as PI and Professor Hotze Rullmann as Co-PI. Also, in Spring 2018, I am teaching graduate (pro)seminar on cross-linguistic temporal and aspectual semantic and syntactic properties.
